Okay, so let me start by highlighting a point that many people do not actually consider, us and everything in this universe are energy.
Our bodies are essentially sophisticated energy systems that our non-physical state or spirit uses to interact with the physical world.
Intern, our bodies rely on a specific flow of energy that will allow everything encompassed within these beautiful meat suits to function optimally.
This brings us to the wonderful chakras in the body!
They play a key part in the overall functioning of the whole energy system as they facilitate the flow of life force energy. Now because of the way life force energy flows through everything in our reality, including what I like to call our subtle body or energy body, we are always connected to this universal flow.
Moreover, we also have a natural connection with the earth, and, more importantly, with each other. Meaning we all make up this intrinsically beautiful tapestry of reality. Again alluding to the fact that we’re all connected energetically.
Separation is an illusion, albeit a persistent one!

So when it comes to this energy system, as I’m sure you can appreciate! If the chakras become blocked or imbalanced, it can cause us to feel a host of different symptoms. It could affect our natural sense of safety in a negative way and also present mental signs of unrest or worry.

What Are The Chakras
You may already have been introduced to the concept of chakras or already know a little about them and their function. However, here are the basics for those who haven’t and may be wondering, what exactly is a chakra?
The word chakra is derived from the Sanskrit word, meaning “wheel”, or “turning,” there are seven main chakras (or energy centers that align with different parts of your body.
Each chakra has a different color, specific qualities, and a location associated with the body. If a chakra is blocked or imbalanced. It can cause physical and mental distress.
So it’s important to learn how to realign your energy and heal your chakras. However, in this post, we will be focusing on the energies of the root chakra specifically.
In relation to the whole system, these spinning wheels of energy, are created by the flow of life force energy through the body. They are associated with physical and emotional states, health and vitality, and the way we respond to, and interact with, the world around us.
When balanced, the root chakra can leave us feeling fully present in our lives, helping us live harmoniously with others, whilst being grounded within the moment with an energy of gratitude, happiness and contentment.
When the chakras are out of alignment, our lives become imbalanced, leading to warning signs that relate to feelings of anxiety, depression, stress, or just feeling unwell from an emotional and physical standpoint.
All of the chakras help us connect with our world, the people we interact with and are essentially energetically connected to, our creativity and spirituality.
This is why it is so important to protect your energy and, your chakras.
The seven chakras each represent a different aspect of our being. The first chakra, or root chakra, is located at the base of the spine and is responsible for our survival instincts and feeling of safety.
The second or sacral chakra, located just below the navel, governs our ability to feel pleasure and experience sexuality.
The third is the solar plexus chakra, located in the solar plexus area, this chakra is associated with our power and will.
The fourth, heart chakra, located in the heart area, governs our ability to love and be loved.
The fifth throat chakra, located in the throat area, is associated with our ability to communicate.
The sixth, or third eye chakra, is found just above the brow line and is associated with our ability to be intuitive and see beyond the five senses.
The seventh crown chakra is located at the top of the head and is associated with our spiritual connection.

Located near the base of your spine, the color associated with this chakra is red, and the element is of the earth.
The root chakra provides the stability that grounds us in the physical world. A balanced root chakra creates a sense of safety and security as it controls our ability to be grounded or to see things from a realistic point of view. It helps us to have a sense of self, a sense that we belong somewhere and that we are loved.

Warning Signs! What Causes Root Chakra Imbalance
When your root chakra is imbalanced, you may experience a variety of symptoms. These can include feeling disconnected from your body, feeling ungrounded, feeling anxious or stressed, and having difficulty manifesting your desires.
If you’re feeling disconnected from your joy, vitality, and sense of security, it may be due to this imbalance. It’s important to remember this chakra is located at the base of the spine and is responsible for feelings of safety and connectedness.
When it’s out of balance, we may experience feelings of loss, despair, anxiety, fear, and insecurity.
How To Balance Your Muladhara Chakra
If you are experiencing any of the symptoms mentioned above, there are a few things you can do to realign your energy.
First, try spending time in nature. This can help you feel more connected to the earth and your energy body. The chakra system is the foundation of your life force, your spiritual energy and your physical health. This is why nature is such a powerful natural healer,
It purifies our frequency by creating harmony, peace, and balance. Take off your shoes, walk on grass, or, sand and reconnect; this is grounding in its most simplistic form.
Being around trees or the powerful energy of flowing water is a great way to clear negative and stagnant energy. When the root chakra is imbalanced, you may feel unsteady and off-center. Your relationship with life and other people may suffer as well.
If this is the case, get yourself out in nature and try these simple yet powerful techniques.
1) The Grounding Exercise Root Chakra Healing!
Sit in a comfortable position and allow yourself to relax.
Visualize a beautiful, loving and healing light sitting just above your head.
Now consciously open yourself up to this light.
Allow it to move lovingly through you from the crown chakra, moving through each chakra until this light gets to the base of your feet.
Now visualize this energy proceeding through your feet and connecting with mother earth in the most powerful and loving way.
Let it transcend your physical or energetic body, caressing each layer of the earth’s beautiful form until we reach its energetic center.
Now create a feedback loop which clears each chakra and allow yourself to ground within this energy.
Remember! “Energy Flows Where Attention Goes” A clear understanding of this knowledge makes this an incredibly powerful technique! Which can be practised at any time.
The more you practice, the better you become at moving the energy. Regular practice will also enhance your energetic connection to the physical body and material world.
This is similar to the way Reiki Masters and other energy healers move energy with faith, love and intention.
2) How To Balance The Root Chakra With Crystal Meditation
A root chakra meditation!
To balance your root chakra or remove a blockage, you can also do things like eat grounding foods, get regular exercise, and, as mentioned above, spend time in nature.
You can also use chakra meditation, I find these techniques particularly helpful in making me feel safe, and also feel grounded whilst creating a solid foundation for the basic needs of all my other chakras, especially if the hustle and bustle of life have them feeling a little overactive.
Use this simple meditation if your chakras are out of balance.
Sit in a comfortable position where you will not be disturbed.
First, I like to comb through my aura energy with my selenite wand. Selenite is a beautiful crystal with a fine vibration making it great for the higher chakras. But I also find it useful when working any blocked or imbalanced chakra.
Especially the root, as it is the foundation of the chakra system! Now selenite is linked to the light body or subtle body and, as a result, is able to anchor it to the earth’s vibration. When used in this way or in meditation, it helps create deep peace and enhances spiritual work greatly.
Once the selenite has been passed through the auric field, hold it in the left hand and set your meditative intention.
As previously mentioned, the root chakra is associated with the color red, and the stones/crystals that can help you with rebalancing this chakra are Garnet, Hematite, and Red Jasper.
As with any crystal work, it’s important to choose the crystal that resonates with you energetically.
Is great for its grounding energy; it stimulates and cleanses the aura whilst balancing the lower chakras, which include the mūlādhāra chakra.
Energieses and revitieses the chakras. It helps balance sexual energy and stimulates the rise of controlled kundalini energy. This makes it a great tool for clearing negative chakra energy.
A Crystal that is strongly suited to protection and grounding. It provides protection for those in deep states of meditation or people who spirit walk as it is great for anchoring the soul back into the body. Its dissolves negative energies and can help clear the auric field.
To utilise the power of these crystals in meditation, follow these steps:
Programm the crystals of your choice, cleanse it, then hold it in your left hand and clearly state your intention for the energetic work you will be undertaking.
Find a state of peace and tranquillity, either sit or lay down.
Focus on the breath or another point of reference, such as a mantra, or simply count down from 100.
Once the mind is calm, bring your attention to the base chakra and place your attention within root energy.
Visualize a red ball of light energy softly pulsating in that area.
Connect the frequency of that energy with the energy of your crystals.
Trust that the energy will follow your attention; this is higher spiritual science!
Be still and allow this powerful healing energy to wash over the other chakras.
Because the root chakra governs your ability to ground to the energy of the earth. Powerful energy work on this one chakra will open you up to the connected energy of the universe. The longer you remain still, the stronger you will feel the flow of that energetic frequency and its ever-present connection.
Although these exercises are simple, the benefits can be profound. Remember, we live in a sea of infinite energy, and energy flows where you direct it.
In conclusion, the root chakra is the foundation of our energy bodies, and when it’s imbalanced or blocked. The other chakras begin to compensate, and due to this, we can experience a variety of symptoms.
